Delete your Reversi Zen account

This page explains how to have your Reversi Zen account, and the data attached to it, permanently deleted. Reversi Zen is developed and operated by Witzora, based in Sweden.

In the app — the quickest way

Open Reversi Zen and sign in.
Go to Profile and choose Delete account.
Confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion seven days later.

During those seven days your account is hidden from other players, and you can change your mind in your profile at any time. After seven days the deletion is carried out automatically. No email exchange is needed.

Without the app — by email

You do not need the app installed. Send an email to contact@witzora.com with the subject "Delete my Reversi Zen account".

Send it from the email address you signed in with. That is how we confirm the request is yours and protect you against someone else asking on your behalf. Your alias is helpful but not required. We will confirm that we received your request and complete the deletion within 30 days. If we need anything further to verify your identity, we will ask before we act.

What is deleted

Your account and your sign-in with Google, Apple, or email and password — including your email address
Your profile: alias, country and town
Your settings, and the device keys used for push notifications
Your statistics — games played, wins, losses, score distribution, thinking times
Your Glicko-2 rating, rating deviation, and volatility, and your entries on the leaderboards
Your games against the bots
Your invitations, your head-to-head records, and your online presence
Your feedback: the posts you sent us, the conversation in them, and the screen images attached to them

Games that are still in progress against other players end as a win for your opponent.

What is kept, and for how long

Games against other players, without your name. Those games remain in your opponents' history, so that their results and statistics stay correct. Your alias and your account identifier are removed from them; your opponent sees that they played someone who has since left.
Your alias, locked for 30 days. Nobody else can take the name during that time, so that no one can pass themselves off as you right after you leave. Afterwards it is free.
Infrastructure logs held by Google Cloud. These expire automatically after 30 days.

We keep no backup copy of a deleted account, and we do not sell or share personal data with anyone.

If you played as a guest

Guest play requires no account and sends nothing to our servers that can be linked to you — those games are computed and stored on your device alone. To remove that data, clear the app's data or uninstall the app. There is nothing for us to delete, and nothing for you to request.
